When faster media matters
SDXC V60 or CFexpress Type A VPG200 for many 4K modes up to 280 Mbps; U3 is sufficient for listed 100 Mbps HD recording.
SDXC V90 or CFexpress Type A VPG200 or higher, with CFexpress required for certain highest-rate slow-motion settings.
XAVC S-I 4K at 600 Mbps calls for V90 SDXC or CFexpress Type A VPG200; 1200 Mbps slow motion requires CFexpress Type A VPG200.

Capacity
Sony lists SD/SDHC/SDXC and CFexpress Type A support. Check the current media page after firmware updates.
Reader
Use a matching UHS-II SD or CFexpress Type A reader. A CFexpress Type B reader will not accept Type A cards.
Three checks worth making
- Some S&Q modes raise the card requirement above normal-speed recording.
- Proxy or simultaneous recording can require faster media.
- Use matching file systems for simultaneous movie recording.
