What fits in each slot
| Slot | Formats | Interface | Workflow note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slot 1 | CFexpress Type B | CFexpress 2.0 | Panasonic lists capacities from 64GB to 2TB. |
| Slot 2 | SD/SDHC/SDXC | UHS-I / UHS-II through V90 | Panasonic lists capacities up to 512GB. |
When faster media matters
Everyday recommendation
V30 SDXC through 200 Mbps; V60 through 400 Mbps and V90 through 600 Mbps.
Demanding recommendation
CFexpress Type B for MOV at 800 Mbps or more, non-FHD ProRes, and selected All-Intra slow-and-quick modes.
Panasonic explicitly moves 800 Mbps-and-higher MOV and non-FHD ProRes off SD and onto CFexpress Type B.
Plan the complete workflow
Capacity
CFexpress Type B: 64GB–2TB. SD/SDHC/SDXC: up to 512GB in the referenced manual.
Reader
Use a Type B reader for high-rate media and a UHS-II SD reader for Slot 2.
Three checks worth making
- V90 does not unlock modes that Panasonic assigns only to CFexpress.
- Type A media does not fit.
- Verify the exact codec and bitrate before choosing the card.
